Himachal Green slate / quartzite is a medium grained hard slate / quartzite obtained right from the Himalayas characterized by silvery grey-green coloring. It has silvery shine throughout the surface. The natural split surface is extremely even. Himachal Green slate / quartzite is also used to make roofing tiles. This is a frost resistant slate / quartzite. The Himachal Green Slate Stones range is characterized with well-marked splittable cleavages with or without developed recrystallization and spots/knots of other minerals. Himachal Green slate / quartzite is compact and less homogenous displaying varying textures and shades. Honed / Polished Himachal Green Slate / quartzite displays excellent patterns & layers of mica and quartz on the surface. This stone can be used in any application. Even though it is honed / polished it does not become slippery when wet thus making it an excellent choice for small swimming pools and bathroom. Himachal Green slate / quartzite is available in many surfaces like, Natural, Honed, Polished, Shot Blasted, Brushed, Lather Finish, & Vibrated finish (Tumbled). Also it is available in a combination of surfaces like honed and then sandblasted. Sizes, thickness, Edges and surface can be customized.
